Did you know July is our nation’s official Park and Recreation Month?
This year’s theme is: Get Your Play On
Many communities are hosting events all month long. Some have planned activities once per week; others have scheduled events several times per week. This is a great way to add a little mini-vacation into your family’s summer with very little to no cost. Here’s the National Recreation and Park Association website:
http://www.nrpa.org/july/
The website also has an interactive map. Click the red dots on the US map or scroll down the page on this link for events in your area:

Or call your local Parks and Recreation office.
Don’t forget our National Parks.
Below is the link to find a park in every state. Use the interactive map to click on your state or another of your choice. You still have time to plan your vacation to a national park. Find a Park: https://www.nps.gov/findapark/index.htm
We all need to move more. You already know all the health benefits: physical, mental, and emotional, not to mention family memory building.
So what are you waiting for?
Get out there and play!
Until next time . . . Travel Light,
SuZan
