You’ve heard of the “Dog Days of August,” right? The warm sultry days of August have led some to change the month’s name to “Dogust.” To make these days more enjoyable I’ve listed below some of my favorite National Holidays. I hope you find some to enjoy or at least amuse you.

This is perfect since we do not know their actual birthdays.

Northern Territory Picnic Day in Canada

Regatta Day in Canada
August 6 – Root Beer Float Day
August 7 – Lighthouse Day
Have some mustard on your favorite sandwich at the lighthouse.
August 8 – Sneak Zucchini onto your neighbor’s porch day

Love love the term, “Dogust.” And I love zucchini but don’t have any in my garden. Would appreciate a neighborly veggie gift.
