My sincere thanks to an online friend (who wishes to remain anonymous) for the photo taken in Colorado. The old settler’s cabin is no longer used.
Can you spot the smaller cabin in the distance? It may have been a root cellar or larder since people did not dare keep food in their home due to the bear population.
Whew! A bear knocking on one’s door could be rather intimidating. What do you think?
