Thanksgiving Wishes for 2022

Several years ago, I began my daily tradition to look for and find gratitude as part of my morning time with God. I highly recommend the practice of gratefulness in/for small and large things.

In the midst of my extra struggles this year, I also look for things to make me smile. Here is an example from Thanksgiving a few years ago:

A friend who could truly be called a hostess with the most-ess hosted Thanksgiving. She prepared an incredible spread for her large family. She put the last touches on the meal and hurried into the dining room with platters of food. Wonder full times and wonderful food were enjoyed by all.

A week later she opened the microwave to find a broccoli casserole inadvertently forgotten.

They never missed the broccoli among all the other dishes served. She never said if it was extra stinky, or if the smell lingered long in the microwave. And I never asked.

What do you think?

My wish for you is a lovely grateful Thanksgiving whether you celebrate it with family, friends, or alone.

And may you always find your broccoli in a timely manner. (Although, I know a few children who would be grateful if you forgot it.)

Until next time . . . Travel Light,
SuZan

  1. Haha! I can only imagine how stinky that microwave was!
    Thanks for the chuckle.
Blessings and joy to you today.
