A popular call and response is given every Sunday in some churches.

“God is good all the time,” the pastor says.
“All the time, God is good,” the congregation replies.

But when we don’t get our way or if things don’t happen exactly the way we think they should, do we truly believe that God is good?

For the past two years I’ve wanted to take a trip to Pella, Iowa for their annual Tulip Time festival. Last year I asked my hubby if we could go this year.

My main objective? I wanted to share photos of all those gorgeous tulips here on my website. Tulips are such lovely heralds of spring with their wide array of colors.

Hubby thought we could probably work out a trip this year. However, things changed as most of you know. One more year that I wouldn’t be able to share those tulips on this website. Of course, I was disappointed. But God surprised me again.Just before the festival, we found out some friends were headed to Pella specifically for the tulips. I asked if they could take photos for me and report on their experience. And voila! Here are some of their gorgeous photographs. Abundant multi-colored tulips edged the central park around the city square as well as other parks around town.Flower beds filled strips along sidewalks. In yards, on college grounds as well as in beds beside museums. Seemingly everywhere one looked—even between buildings—tulips of red, pink, yellow, and orange provided a visual feast for the eyes.Home owners participated with tasteful yard displays. See how well these double red-orange and yellow tulips blend and yet shimmer in the sun against the colors of this Victorian home. And just look at the variety hiding in the shaded flower bed right beneath the home’s yellow clapboards.

All those colors exemplify how good our Father God is. He blesses us with goodness. Just when we think He can’t show us more, He does.
